Project ECHO Hub Partner Launch Training

Once your organisation is ready, we offer a three-day training course introducing you to the ECHO model and next steps for implementation. Here you'll find all the information you need to know before booking.

The ECHO Partner Launch training package aims to enhance your understanding of Project ECHO and put the methodology into practice, enabling you to successfully establish your organisation as an ECHO hub.

The three-day course is inclusive of, but not limited to the following topics:

  • the ECHO methodology,
  • the roles of an ECHO team and how to fulfil them,
  • the practicalities of curriculum setting,
  • communications and branding,
  • IT hardware and software,
  • data management,
  • evaluation, and
  • strategic planning.

The training package also includes:

  • continuous individualised post-training support including 1:1 meetings and ad-hoc practical assistance,
  • access to training materials and practical resources,
  • the global Project ECHO Resource Library on file-sharing platform and,
  • a professional licence to Zoom for ECHO purposes,
  • a bespoke database to record your outcomes,
  • invitations to monthly UK Community Hub Support meetings to share experiences and support with other UK ECHO Hubs,
  • invitations to monthly metaECHO meetings with the global ECHO hub community hosted by the ECHO Institute,
  • invitations to the ECHO Institute’s metaECHO conference every 18 months, and
  • access to partner learning sessions with the ECHO Institute.

Training requirements

  • We ask that a minimum of three people from your implementation team attend the same 3 day training course in full. As a minimum, we suggest that your ECHO Implementation Team comprise of the Project Lead and/ or Facilitator, an Administrator/Coordinator, and an IT/ Video conferencing Support Officer.
  • Training is subject to approval of your organisation’s application form and receipt of signed partnership documentation.


Hospice UK have received some funding that enables us to offer ECHO Partner Launch training for Hospice UK members a subsidised rate. Highland Hospice have received funding from the Scottish Government that allows Hospices within Scotland to be trained free of charge for a limited period.

Your booking will be confirmed after payment has been received in full.

We regret that we are unable to subsidise any travel, accommodation or subsistence expenditure that you may incur.
