BMJ Supportive and Palliative Care

An official journal of Hospice UK and qualifying member hospices benefit from free access to the print version of the journal, plus a discount on the cost of an institutional online and print and/or online only annual subscription to the journal. As the publisher has separate arrangements with NHS institutions, qualifying members for this offer are local independent charitable hospices and those hospices run by national charities.

Association of Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland (APM)

The Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland (APM) is the world’s largest representative body for doctors practicing or interested in Palliative Medicine.

The Libraries in Hospices Network (no website)

An informal group of staff working in library, information and education roles who provide services to support education, research and best practice in hospice and palliative care organisations. Contact Sue Langley at East Anglia’s Children Hospices (EACH).

Join our Community of Practice

Hospice UK has recently established a Research and Outcomes Community of Practice. This group will be made up of a monthly newsletter as well as a Hospice IQ forum to support ‘Research Active Hospices’ and ‘Outcome Measures’ to support best practice including the OACC suite of Outcome measures.

The purpose of the forum and Community of Practice is to be able to discuss, share and debate all the issues relating to research and outcomes.
