Communications support
We offer resources and information to our members to help support your communications and raise the profile of hospice care.
We work with you to raise awareness and understanding of hospice care through initiatives such as Hospice Care Week. Being part of a UK wide campaign is a great opportunity to promote your services locally.
You can also join the Hospice Communications LinkedIn Group and our Hospice Digital Fundraising and Communications Group to share good practice and ideas.
For any press releases or media queries please contact our PR Team.
Make the most of Hospice UK's membership of CharityComms
As a member of Hospice UK you can benefit from our membership of CharityComms - which includes free seminars, exclusive access to special interest groups and discounts on conference places, as well as an opportunity to take part in their Peer Support Scheme as part of your professional development.
Just telephone CharityComms when you book, or request information, stating that you are a Hospice UK member.
Here is their full events calendar for this year.
For any questions or queries regarding these member benefits or for other communications support, please contact Sarah West, Director of Campaigns and Communications at Hospice UK.
Crisis Communications Toolkit
We have produced a crisis communications toolkit for our members, which is intended as a resource to provide guidance on how to handle crisis incidents or major issues that could adversely affect your reputations.
The toolkit includes: overall guidance on crisis communications practice, some pointers on managing social media communications in a crisis and also an appendix with several examples of different potential crisis scenarios for hospices and example media statements.
Also available to members is a range of template forms for capturing vital information during a crisis incident, to help you plan your response. Members are invited to use all or some of the forms, as appropriate to each of your organisations.
For any further information about this toolkit please contact our Comms team.
