Hospice UK National Conference

We're thrilled that our National Conference is returning to the Liverpool ACC from Wednesday 3 – Friday 5 November 2021.

We’re working on a fantastic programme encompassing five key challenges facing us all:

  • resourcing palliative care
  • the palliative care workforce
  • transformation
  • inequalities of access
  • mental health and wellbeing.

The last year has been challenging for everyone – so much has changed and there is yet more change to come.

We've missed the face to face interaction and conversation with our colleagues, peers and friends that plays such a fundamental part of how we cope and navigate change or innovate and develop creative solutions to any new challenge that faces us.

Our national conference will be an opportunity for the palliative and end of life care sector to come together again. A chance to re-group, re-connect and share experiences and challenges and to look forward to the new world.

The programme for our landmark post-COVID conference will aim to inspire, invigorate, provoke and challenge delegates to explore new possibilities, and look at how they can contribute to the change that’s needed.

But in the meantime, registration is open so book your place now!

Virtual conference platform

New to conference 2021 is our virtual conference platform.  We know that there will be people who are unable to come to Liverpool for a number of reasons, such as caring responsibilities, work travel restrictions or health concerns around attending a large event.  We want our conference to be as accessible as possible, so for our conference this year we have a new online platform, and tickets are available to attend online only for those that can’t come to Liverpool.  The platform will feature:

  • Live streaming of all 6 plenary sessions
  • Live streaming of 2 additional parallel session each day (see programme for details)
  • Details of all our abstracts as well as pdfs of the posters displayed at conference, as well as the ability to send questions to poster authors
  • Our virtual exhibition area, featuring all our sponsors and exhibitors, where you can hear from our sponsors, watch videos and chat area or ask questions
  • See who else is 'attending' and message other attendees

We also hope this platform will enhance the experience for those coming to Liverpool, and access will be free of charge for those attending in person.  Rates for virtual attendance are below, so do book your ticket now!
